21-7-2008 - 1st official midwife apt

My mood while writing this blog: tired

I hate those little face things....none of them ever match me....

Anyways, I went to see Becky (my midwife) today for my 1st "official" appointment. I was kinda freakin out this morning cause they say your supposed to be doing kick counts, I think its just one more thing for me to worry about cause I hadnt felt him since last night...so I was FREAKIN out...I was laying on my belly, I ate, layed on my back, played music...NADA worked. He already likes so stress me out :) So I got there and was going through my HUGE list of questions that I had prepared and told her that I hadnt felt him and of COURSE, as soon as I layed on that damn table and she put the little thing on my belly...little shit kicked her. It always makes you smile doest it?? I love it, Im so excited.

I also told her that the doctors were concerned with me measuring bigger than I was supposed to, she said she wasnt worried at all, she said that its not even necessary to get that extra ultrasound, but, of course Im going to cause who doesnt want to see the little one one more time :) So Im still doing it. I have to do my glucose test that day anyways so whateva...

Wed is the ultrasound and glucose test, Wed night I go to meet the doula, the MW thinks that its a good idea, especially a postpartum one (she would come and help me at the house afterwards...you buy them in hour incriments), which I was really considering anyways, she would help me if Im having trouble breastfeeding and if I needed to take a shower or just needed some advise on anything. So, Im excited about that too. I think that it will really benefit my husband while Im actually in labor too...she would help him to help me...which I see him possibly needing, esp since Im thinking I dont want ANY family in there at first...too much excitement and I realy just want to chill for a few minutes, well see, things can always change.

Ill update after I go Wed and well see what they say.
