23-7-2009 - 18 week check-up!

Hi everyone!

So I had my 18 week checkup with the doctor. Babies heart rate is 155bpm, to me it is looking more and more like another boy with that heart rate! :)

My weight is now 111lbs! So i have gained a total of 5 pounds now!

The doctor showed me the results of my ultrasound, and I have partial placenta previa. So I have to get that checked again at my next ultrasound at the end of August. For anyone that doesnt know about this it means that the placenta is covering the entrance (hehe really the exit) of the cervix, so if it does not move I will need a c-section.
It is so weird that I have this, all along in the pregnancy I have been thinking about maybe needing a csection, I was so shocked when he told me this because I had been worrying about it all along without actually knowing anything about it!!!
Plus it kind of explains why I have been feeling the baby move down very very low! Much lower than I remember my DS moving!
Anyone else have/had this???

So anyone that read my last blog about my dog, she ended up having the puppies that night!! We had to take her to the vet, because she was pushing for ages and started having green discharge, which is bad! But it all turned out great, and ll 5 puppies are doing so well!
She had 2 black and white male havanese puppies, 2 black female havanese, and one rare brown havanese female!!

I hope everyone else is doing great! I am struggling to deal with this heat!! Icecream is the sure for me!! :)

5 pups wow congrats, and they sound so cute well babies are cute, I am feeling baby very low too lately am going for a sonar next week then im gonna ask my doc to have a check why, hope all is well and have a wonderful weekend

placenta previa here too! got worse from 16 week u/s to 19 week u/s but we've just been cautious (and no fun stuff :( since we were told), and everything going along fine. follow u/s scheduled for aug 10 to see if any change, if not they'll book c-section for oct.....i sure feel those kicks MUCH lower than when i had my first son 10 years ago! sometimes i swear this baby boy is trying to kick his way out!!

Our baby's heart rate at 16 weeks was 144 so I am thinking boy here too! We can have our boys together! :) Glad everything sounds good and keep us posted on the previa...hope it moves but if not that's okay too, just as long as we have those healthy babes in our arms around the end of the year!
