| 25-3-2009 - What would you do? | My mood while writing this blog:okish |
Hi ladies,
I had decided to get my health check-ups to make sure everything goes well for my next pregnancy. This included a trip to the dentist. Now I have a specialist dentist appointment on Monday, as it looks as though some of my wisdom teeth need to be removed, possibly surgical extraction for at least two of them. It is possible to remove them under local anesthetic, but obviously less traumatic if it is done with a general anesthetic. I really don't want to put off ttc as I don't want the age gap between children to be too big ( DD is 5 in September) but if I have this done while I am not pregnant I can have lots of pain relief after the proceedure and the general - I am not a fan of being in pain lol! But, I DESPERATELY want to be pregnant as well!
Would you put off ttc until after the surgery ( I don't know when it would be scheduled, it could be weeks or months away) or would you just keep trying and let the dentist work around the possible pregnancy? I have heard that this is safe during the second trimester, but I am not 100% sure. I will discuss this further with the dental surgon, but I am after some advice before I speek to him. Any experience or stories would be helpful and appreciated! Thank you for any replies, and I hope that everyone is well :)
