16-8-2008 - Real Daddy's Girl!! OkMy mood while writing this blog:
Ok

So i had my midwife appointment on thursday, was in with her for almost an hour and a half. Had my 28 week bloods taken and my blood pressure tested, everything seemed to be fine. I explained how baby hadn't been moving as much as usual so she sent me to the hosptital for a tracing. i was hooked up to a doppler for 45 mins, in that time i felt the baby move 5 times but the machine had picked up a movement every 4 seconds or so, only five of which i actually felt.

They explained that baby is lying in the transverse position so if she's sticking her back out i prob wouldn't be feeling the movements as much coz she's kicking into my back, also said she produced an excellent heart pattern on the print out and that she's looking really healthy. i had a scan to check baby's blood flow throught the cord, heartbeat and if the placenta was working properly and that all came back fine too, perfectly healthy. the midwife came to her own conclusion that as my husband had been away from Monday to thursday her lack of movements were more than likely due to her missing her daddy's voice being around! as soon as he turned up at the examination and started talking she seemed to respond to his voice which i've noticed loads more over the past 2 days! (of course daddy was thrilled with this theory and pays alot more attention to his little princess!!)

She's a real daddy's girl already then it seems and i don't think i'm gonna get a look in when she makes her appearance!! lol
