23-6-2009 - Just an udate I guess...

My mood while writing this blog: Sore, Vindictive and Tired

I feel like I haven’t done an update in a while… So we have made it to the half way point ladies and a little beyond that! So cheers to us! With juice of course! J

The last week has been a bit crazy for us… Last Monday someone broke into my apartment and stole a few things. The strange thing is that no real valuable items are missing… They took the broken Xbox and the broken DVD player and some cash. The laptop, DVDs, CDs, 2 TVs, a stereo, large iPod Speaker, my jewelry… all these things are still in their place. Now why would someone come in and take 2 broken items and cash? Were the broken items taken in hopes that we would not notice the cash right away? We’re thoroughly confused and highly suspicious of a nearby neighbor in this building… He always seemed a bit shady and has basically avoided any interaction with us since. We didn’t call the cops because we really have no way to prove anything was taken… Unfortunately my apartment is very easy to get into and I’ve complained to my landlord multiple times about this since thinking someone had come in a year ago… So the incredibly sucky part is that the cash was for our new hot water heater, toilet and stove. The last of the big items we were planning to get last weekend to move forward with our move. Now we’re trying to get up another $1400.00… Speaking of our move, aside from that set back, it is progressing well! The siding, windows, deck and porch are all done. Now the inside… We got the finishing wood, the kitchen frame work is done and the cabinetry is ready to go in! Then all we really need is carpeting! The baby’s room is completely cleared out too!!

My baby shower is August 22^nd! I finished my registry at Babies R Us and made the invitations Friday night! They look so cute! I’ll have to put up a picture of one… My Mom handed about 15 out on Saturday to family at our picnic! My Sister and Mom have invited about 60 people to the baby shower. I know it sounds like a lot, it is. But I have a huge family, great friends and his family is pretty big too! And we have to get a lot of their invites out early because they will be coming from California and we want them to have plenty of time to make arrangements if they want to come.

Saturday after our picnic I started getting a slight toothache… well that became a full blown toothache in a couple hours. I couldn’t eat anything come Sunday and hadn’t slept in 2 nights come Monday morning. It was awful! I have very weak teeth so I was nervous about that and pregnancy together. I went to the dentist yesterday morning and they had to extract it… It was gross and painful and I was not dealing with a root canal while pregnant… It was bad enough being shot up with all that Novocain for them to do what they had to do. It sucked but I’m glad it’s over… and I refuse to take the Tylenol 3!

I have been feeling movements like crazy! As I sit here typing s/he is kicking away and making my belly pop out here and there… I love it! I hope everyone is feeling great these days! I guess that’s it for now…
