| 20-1-2009 - Ultrasound at 19 weeks | My mood while writing this blog:Happy and excited |
So yesterday was our big ultrasound. It took 45 minutes, I thought I was going to pee myself! Lucky enough she let me go after 30 minutes :) So she showed us all the parts, everything looked good! Took a pile of measurements on the head and pictures of the heart. Our hospital doesn't say the gender so we asked her if she could go over the groin area. She did we looked at eachother, not so sure and said we think it's a boy. Then she zoomed in and showed us again, my husband said yep I think it's a boy. By then I wasn't so sure of myself because of the angle of the shot.
The heart was beating at 160bpm, the head measured at 4.5cm and he wasn't moving too much. I measure at 20 weeks instead but I won't change in case my doctor doesn't. His head was down and his bum up towards my right side. It was so neat to see the facial features, wondering what he'll look like! The placenta is in the front so that's why I had not felt anything. I just got my first feeling yesterday afternoon. It was definetly movement.
We do have a appointment to get a 4D ultrasound when I'll be 25 weeks, so the first week of March. I can hardly wait! Now I do have my girl name picked out, my husband and I just have to agree on a name for a boy! Not so easy I must say :)
Take care ladies, wishing you the best!
