My mood while writing this blog: Baby\'s great but I\'m bummed |
So I went at my appointment this afternoon. I was really happy to hear that the ultrasound was A+. All my bloodtests came back negative and I have no problems. The baby's heartbeat was 148-152bpm today.
Then came the time to jump on the scale. Yikes! I gained 10lbs in the past month! The doctor looked at my file and said what happened last month? Yeah cravings is what happened, ice cream and chocolate. She said that I had already gained 20lbs and they recommend 25-35lbs. I'm mad at myself but at the same time I can't change the past. Since I knew I had gained quite a few pounds, I went to get veggies and fruit and today I ate real well with ONE piece of chocolate all day. I got home cranked the music, danced and did a small workout while I cleaned the house. It was fun, I just hope that I can keep it up. I just have to stop buying the stuff all that we chat about on our blogs! LOL
Have a great weekend ladies!!!

Wednesday, 11 Feb I gained too much also :( The doctor was like, whoa that was a jump in weight. I was so determined to control myself too! I was running for a few months and everything. After I got sick and so so tired I became lazy and my cravings have been out of control!! I have been visiting my mom for 2 weeks and am going home on Friday. I am determined to regain control of my eating. I also walked 4 times this week.. I would run but with my weight gain i need a tummy belt! I think my abs are looser this time around b/c I look 7 months pregnant! I think my total weight gain is 17-18 pounds and I had a 5 still to lose from the previous pregnancy. I am mainly concerned with the weight gain b/c it increases risk of gestational diabetes which runs in my fam and the babies also get fat as we do! I don't want to have a huge baby! Lol. It sounds painful. Also, the more weight we gain the worse damage to my body--ike strechmarks etc. Anyway, you are not alone! Good luck!!! Baby-Griffin -

Saturday, 7 Feb i quit smoking before we tried to get pregnant. I gained 15 - 20 lbs from that. Then we conceived the first time we tried. Long story short, I was fatter than i shouldve been before i got pregnant. My doctor and I have a deal. I dont know how much I weighed when I started and i dont know how much I weigh know. I dont want to know. My doctor agreed, and will only tell me if she feels the weight gain becomes a problem. The way I see it is we're only going to get bigger and bigger. we have 19 weeks to go. Dont sweat it :) ~Tarin~ -
Saturday, 7 Feb I find that Chocolate milk helps me a lot when i want chocolate! Plus it's healthier and easier on our hips too :) That's great news on the tests and teh scans. The weight will not be a huge issue for you because you have always been able to loose it easily. It will come right off after the baby. Keep enjoying your pregnancy being happy.
