15-3-2009 - Birthing classes

My mood while writing this blog: doing good

So Saturday we went to our birthing class. It took all day to go through everything. The class was great! There was about 15 couples there. We went through all the phases and what to expect. We watched 5 different births, which was amazing! So awesome to see what our bodies go through to get that baby out! We also did massages on the back and hands and breathing techniques. The nurse was awesome. It was so informative. We also did bringing baby home, which they told us all about how to swaddle, lay the baby in bed (switching sides), through how many poos and pees in a day to the colors, etc. Then we stayed for the breastfeeding part where I learned a lot :) It was very worth it. My husband feels way more prepared and for me it was more of confirming everything I had learned from reading. After going through that class I have way more of a idea of what type of birth plan I would like to have. But like I told my mom, I'll do anything I have to so that the baby comes out healthy.
