10-6-2009 - When will it end?

My mood while writing this blog: mixed emotions

Well here I still am pregnant, everyone thought that I would be going in early. I wished it everyday and those days have passed and I'm still here. It does put me down to see many of the women that I chat with go in labour and have their babies. Why not me too.

To make me feel worst my job was taken by someone with more seniority so I had to apply for jobs in the district hoping that I could get something so when I go back I'd have a position for sure. Well I got 4 letters today all saying that someone with more seniority has taken the position. So right now I don't have a job to go back to. I hope that my maternity leave won't be affected by this. I can't afford to not have the maternity leave pay right now. We also received a letter stating that our mortgage was going up because of proprety taxes going up. Stupid goverment with all these job cuts!

So enough with the negative. I've been physically well, I'm still at 1cm and this time when the doctor checked me she said that I was just 20% effaced which 2 weeks ago I was suposively 60%, how does this happen? No lost mucus plug and no signs of labour yet. Everything is ready for him, the house is clean, my bag is packed, his bassinet is all set up in my room. I can't wait for him to get here, I'm so excited and anxious! I've been taking long walks everyday with the dog I get lots of pressure when walking but nothing more and I've also been using my exercise ball as adviced by the nurses. Hopefully it won't be too long now. At lease I know I have less then 2 weeks before I see my little boy, as my hospital doesn't let us go over a week from our due date.
