22-7-2009 - trying to catch up

My mood while writing this blog: in love

lets see....adrian was sick when he turned 4months so he couldnt get his 4month shots. he was given some meds and it took him some time to get over his lil sickness. then the 4th of july fell on a sat and the doc office was closed. i try to make his appts for sat so daddy can go. anyways we went this past sat the 18th.

THIS IS HOW IT WENT

we got there and i guess the doc thought since he was getting his 4month shots he was 4months. it should have been noted that hes 5months not 4. anyways. we started going over his feedings and sleep schedule. i told him he eats 8oz every 4hours if he doesnt have cereal/baby food in between. then its 6hours. i told him about the foods ive given him. which has been cereal, (stage 1) sweet potatos, carrots, garden veggies, sweet peas, greens, bananas, peaches, applesauce, pears, chicken, and turkey. he doesnt like the chicken or turkey. he said at his age he doesnt HAVE to eat baby food. i told him well hes 5months and hes a growing boy. he looked over the charts and read that he is in fact 5months! he said wow! hes doing awesome. i told him the only ones he doesnt like is chicken and turkey. he doesnt have a problem eating his veggies even though hes tried fruits. (he said some babies have that problem) i also told him hes crawling backwards and using his belly to switch positions. hes sitting up (thanks to his bumbo), and he can put his paci in his mouth. so he took the paci from adrian and he grabbed it from the doc and put it in his mouth. the doc laughed and said that was amazing. i told him hes also feeding himself. he can hold his own bottle. he said oh is it the smalled 4oz bottles? i told him no. its the 8oz bottles. he replied with "WOW." hes doing great. so the exam started and he was checking his ears and throats. adrian just stared at him and cooed. the doc asked who takes care of him. i told him i do. im not working so he spends all his time with me. he said "aaaaaaah" THATS why hes such a ppl person. lol. the doc knows im very outgoing and opinionated. (he used to be my pedi) he weighed adrian and he weighs 18lbs 11oz. hes 26 1/2inches long. (my dad says hes really 24inches the other 2 is his hair.) he said adrian is doing very well and he cant think of anything we need to improve on. he also said hes above average and catches on quickly. BRING ON THE SHOTS. he got 4shots. 2 in each leg and some liquid so he wouldnt get the poops. it happened so fast he cried and didnt really have a chance to figure out what was going on. by the time he put the liquid in his mouth he stopped crying. i think i was crying more then he was! im so proud of my baby. he makes mommy wanna pull my hair out sometimes but i love him so much.

afterwards doc said "see ya in 2months...be there or be square" lol bf laughed.
