15-4-2011 - Autumn & Ryan

My mood while writing this blog: so grateful...

Autumn, my dear spirited 3 year old. What a beautiful, sweet child. I was so worried when at 2.5 she hadn't spoken a word. Boy was I upset for no reason....after we brought Ryan home she spoke a full paragraph and hasn't stop talking since...ha ha ha! I cannot lie having a 3 year old and 6 month old can be overwhelming at times. Lately I have been very angry at myself ... I get frustrated with Autumn sometimes, like she is supposed to know what I expect of her. I forget she is learning, So I have vowed to be more patient with her and explain things better to her. My mom said she notices that I talk at her instead of talk to her. I'm not really sure what that means but I am sure I will figure it out. 99% of the time I am just content with watching her learn. She is extremely observant, she can watch you do something once and do it with no problem at a later time. She started using my computer in November and now I swear she knows it better then I do. She counts to 14, knows her ABC's, can identify about half of the alphabet by sight, shapes, animals, loves to play CandyLand and HiHo Cherry-O, takes her TAG reader everywhere. Just loves to learn...has an insatiable curiousity...and I love every minute of her existence. Such a good, sweet, warm hearted girl.

Ryan, where do I start. I have gotten so many compliments on what a happy, lovey, smiley baby he is. 6 (almost 7) month old now. He is just on his way. Ryan is reaching milestones scarily fast. He is crawling and just yesterday pulled himself up on a walking toy. He can go from a sitting position to crawling and is trying his darndest to do it in reverse as well. He smiles from the time he wakes up until the time he goes to bed. Even my mom can't believe what a good natured baby he is. He is so easy going. He absolutly loves Autumns and smiles everytime he hears her (even when he can't see her). He eats Cheerios, loves mashed potatoes, and chicken. He'd prefer mashed table food over baby food so we just usually give him what we are eating. We tried a mesh feeder with him so he could have fresh fruit...but he is scared to death of it for some reason??? He sleeps well and when he is ready for bed...he is ready for bed! Usually 8p-8a, both kids are on the same schedule so mom has been sleeping a bit more.

Well, thats it for now it's 10:30 and I promised I'd be up when my husband gets home from work at 3am so we can chat. He sleeps all day works at night. I am up all day (when he is sleeping) and in bed at (when he gets home) 10p. So all is HAPPY on the Morgan home front and I am one PROUD MAMA!! Love my babies!
