| 27-6-2009 - 38 Week apt |  My mood while writing this blog:in pain |
Ok so i had my 38 week apt yesterday at 11. The night before i had quite a bit of pressure and couldnt sleep very well. I just wanted to cry...then i woke up and couldnt even move because it hurt so bad. I was finally able to stand up, which only made it worse. Had to get ready for my apt and then i started driving to the hospital so i would be on time. I almost had to pull over from the pain of the pressure when i went over bumps on the highway. The midwife checked me for amniotic fluid ( i thought i might be leaking ) but she said it came back negative and then she checked my progress. I went from 2 cm and 50% to 3 cm and 80%....i would've loved to hear a 4..but i will take it!!!! then she measured my uterus and i am measuring 41 weeks...ugh
also, i had only gained 16 lbs until my 36 week apt...i gained 2 lbs at my 36 week 2 lbs at my 37 week and then 4 lbs at my 38 week....i dont get it!!!!! they said they think i am retaining a bunch of fluid and kept checking my bloodpressure, which came back high a few times, but all the other times it was borderline.
anyways, yesterday i had the pressure literally all day, i wanted to just burst out in tears, i knew labor would hurt...but is that even labor? i dont know what it feels like to be in labor so it is beyond me haha....i still have the pressure today and i hope that it is her pushing on my cervix and helping mommy open it up haha...
i hope all you ladies and all your babies are doing fantastic...i feel like i will be the last one standing lol

Awwwww... hang in there. So sorry you're so uncomfortable! Just think, you've made it this far and pretty soon you'll be holding your beautiful baby. Stay strong! Good luck!

you won't be the last one standing...I have not dilated at all and I'm not really thinning out..my doctor hasn't gave me a percentage or anything...PLUS they will let me go to 42 weeks if I don't progress on my own...ughh I feel so stressed out! But it does sound like it could be any day now for you how exciting!!!! I know we are all so ready!
