Hi! I can tell you by experience that metformin helps a lot with PCOS, i went from having multiple cysts in my ovaries to none! For some people metformin also helps with weight lose, but in my case it didnt. I went to see a reproductive endocrinologist who told me losing weight is the best treatment for PCOS, so i have to lose at least 30 (of the 50 i have to lose), to start noticing the changes on my cycle and also i will be ovulating every month as i'm supposed to.Baby Dust!!!

Well,
I was just diagnosed with PCOS.. I knew there was something wrong, so I am greatful I now know. But at the same time it's bad news. I have read a lot about the condition, and being in the medical field, I have worked with patients with PCOS, but it's differant when it is affecting YOU. The good news is that the doctor is putting me on metformin. That will help with all the irritating "side effects," and hopefully help us conceive. For those of you who have this condition, you know what I am talking about!! One of those being weight gain. She also said it will help me with that.
