26-5-2009 - Update!

My mood while writing this blog: Cool as a Cucumber!

Hey all you lovely ladies! I decided to write an update of sorts... I had a Dr appt today for gtt and other stuff. They determined that my uterus has a whole wall in it keeping the baby from getting to the other side which is worse than expected but, I have been having minimal sporadic contractions and no major cervical change so I feel ok about it. I had to teach my husband how to give me a shot in the butt for my med that controls the cntrxns. Oh yeah, that is really fun, but he gives the best shot I've ever had. I think it must be in our family. The past couple of shots I've given in nursing school didn't hurt my patients at all which is awesome. I'm thinking about getting a pin made to wear on my scrubs that says "my shots don't hurt". I only have 11 months left til I'm an RN! Woo hoo! My next set of clinicals goes up to my due date but there is a 2 week window with nothing around my 36th week so I'm going to ask if they can do the c-section then which means Gabe would be born on my birthday. My hubby has taken over the nesting instinct for me and has been finishing house projects and painting like crazy. However, we just found out that our entire septic line needs to be replaced because there are roots growing in it, but you win some you lose some I guess. My little guy is measuring 2 weeks ahead of schedule and is well over 2 lbs already! My belly button has just about given up the ghost and popped but it is so cool. And has anyone else found that peeing in the cup at the dr's office is an impossibility now? I can't see a thing down there and I pee more on my hand than the cup! lol
