11-6-2009 - Good News from the specialist!

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

As of today I have officially made it past the day that I delivered my first son. After being belted, poked, swabbed, and dozens of pics my specialist came up with this report: my cervix hasn't changed (3.74 cm, no dilation), my ffn was negative (90% chance of no preterm labor, 99% chance of no labor for next 2 wks), the cntrxns I've been having are not strong enough or frequent enough to worry about, little man is 3 lb 12 oz with lots of hair, the ONLY bad thing... I have too much amniotic fluid from him peeing too much in there but they believe they caught it early enough to treat it with this med that makes me and him pee less (an anti-pee-every-5-min pill for preggos, where have they been hiding this stuff at?). On top of all this good news, my next clinical instructor for school called and told me she would do everything in her power to make sure I could finish and have the baby. Woo hoo!

Cade-bear has his 3 yo bday party next week. He reminds me everyday about it and that it is at the park with Lightening McQueen. We have just redone my spare room for him so the baby can have the nursery and it is too cute! Everything he likes... tractors, trucks, cars, sports, Mickey Mouse, you name it!
