Ok, so I'm really supposed to be sleeping or studying right now bc I have to go work at the hospital tomorrow and Sunday from 6am-6pm. YUCK! But instead, I decided to take a break and update/ask a question.

Tonight my family threw us our second surprise baby shower. It was so sweet and it makes us feel loved to know that we didn't have to have a shower but yet all these people we know want to throw us one anyways. So needless to say, little man is hooked up like a tow truck.

I can't believe I only have 29 more days til my due date and have actually made it to 36 weeks! My regular OB said he wants me to take my lost shot on Thursday so maybe I'll go to 38 weeks but I'm thinking about vetoing his decision and skipping it altogether (The progesterone shot is what has been keeping my cervix long despite the cntrxns. Stopping it should induce labor within 2 wks). The way I see it, I've been in labor 18 weeks, Gabe is measuring 38 wks, who cares? What would y'all do?

I just wanted to say "hi." I don't have an opinion on the injection because I don't know anything about that sort of thing. But I'm sure whatever you decide will work out best.

I'm also glad your family is so caring and supportive. I bet you can't wait to meet your little man. Have a good night and don't stress out too much. Don't over work yourself either at the hospital.

Do you also have a cerclage? If so, it should hold your cervix closed if you decide not to do your last injection.

I WAS on the same injection, but was having an allergic reaction to it so I am no longer on them as of 26 weeks. Since being off of them I have definitely noticed an increase in contractions. However, even if I were not having the allergic reaction, I was going to stop taking them at 34 weeks. You are already at 37 weeks, and who's to say you will go into labor right away? You may have enough of the progesterone in your body that will take you an extra week or so beyond 37 weeks. Only you can make the decision to skip the shot or not ...do what you feel in your heart is the best . Good luck!!
