My mood while writing this blog: sleepy, stressed, overwhelmed |
I guess I should write a blog since all the rest of you are lol.
In two days Adalynn and I leave to go 2000 miles away on our first trip together. Im really nervous about the plane ride... any advice?
She is 11 weeks old today. I cant believe how fast time flies. I think she weighs around 12-13lbs and shes growing very fast.
She has started sleeping 11-12 hours every night and Im totally loving it.
We are still breastfeeding and rarely I have to give her some formula cause my supply is low.
I think thats it! Drop me a line!

Saturday, 28 Jun Hey, the best bit of advice the I received about travel (beyond the standard "suckle during take-off and landing") was this -- bring 1-gallon bags so that you can make "mini diaper bags" and place them in the seat pouches in front of you. That way you can stow the larger diaper bag but have the items you need handy -- diapers, wipes, change of clothes, burp cloths, etc. Also, put her things in 1-gallon bags so that when you go through security, they don't get during when placed in the "bins." I will be calling the airline (United) to determine what, exactly, the protocol is for car seats. I don't find out that her seat needs to be checked and not have it covered in a couple of garbage bags. I might even buy an umbrella stroller -- the Quinny Zapp. It folds so small that you can stow it on the plane -- like in the OVERHEAD STORAGE... It's only a little larger than 2 feet long completely folded! We'll be having our family buy all of the shampoo and formula so that we don't have to pack it. And a family friend will be loaning us a portable crib that will be there when we arrive. Uhm, oh, and I'm thinking about having the MIL get a car seat base so that we can use Sierra's car-seat in her stroller (it just snaps in) AND in the car without the burden of unstrapping it each time. Other than that stuff I'm at a loss too... Oh, except that I read that it's easier to travel with an infant during a red-eye, which we didn't get because Hubby was afraid that people would give us dirty looks! lol... I'm very nervous now that she's getting older. Tootles and Aloha, Jeni, Kyle, and Sierra. summerisis -
Friday, 27 Jun I think you're still sleep deprived since you wrote your blog like an email address instead of thegables3.blogspot.com -- if you go to the Q&A portion of the site, you can see the advice that women gave me about flying with a baby. (search for "travel") We'll be flying soon enough and I'm nervous too! I'll touch base when I'm supposed to be awake (it's not even 4:00 a.m. yet.) *YAWN* it's good to see you're back! ;) Jeni and Sierra.
