02-3-2009 - Major Milestones

My mood while writing this blog: So Excited!!!

Ladies, I am jumping for joy today! Yesterday was a HUGE day for all of us, Especially Drew!

Drew said "Da da" yesterday at lunchtime while sitting in his highchair. He loves to hold a conversation with you at the moment by just babbling on and on but it was very clear when he said it. My parents were here and heard it too. I pointed to my hubby and said, "Yes, Drew that is right, Da da"! He grinned from ear to ear and giggled so loudly. Then in the afternoon we put him in his walker and let him go wild in the kitchen and the next thing we knew, he had gone right out of the kitchen and right up onto the carpet and away he went. The amount of happiness on his face was just out of this world.

Since my parents have been here visiting, my mom has been trying to teach Drew to wave hello/bye bye. My mom was playing with him and waved and said, "Hello Drew" and would you believe that Drew waved back!!!!!

We've got 5 teeth now and one more coming in and we are chewing on EVERYthing. He still seems to be in great spirits though which is good. Sometimes he will run a low grade fever in the evening and his cheeks are a bit flushed but he is such a trooper and a happy baby.

Drew is slowly figuring out how to walk but he still holds onto the furniture. He laughs so hard and gets so excited that you can't help feel his excitement too. His smiles and laughter is so contagious! Part of me doesn't want him to learn how to walk on his own because I know once he does.....it's all over. I'm gonna be running my bootie off. hahaha
