23-3-2009 - Mommy Of Houdini.....HELP!!!

My mood while writing this blog:

Calling on ALL mommies, Calling ALL Mommies!!! MAJOR challenge on our hands!!!

On Thursday night my hubby tells me that Drew climbed out of his Exersaucer! For all you mommies out there reading this you are probably saying to yourself, "Holy crap"! Yeppers, it's true. I witnessed it myself this morning! As soon as I can figure out how to download the video I took of him doing it, I will post it. It will truly blow your mind. WELL, we have yet another challenge......YEP, you guessed it. He is so close to climbing up and over the side of his crib. YES, the crib is all the way down. YES, we are putting socks on him at night so he can't get a grip on the bars. (hahaha - funny but serious)

MY SON IS HOUDINI!!!

HELP! I will take any and all suggestions. Drew cannot walk on his own yet so I (as my hubby of course) are extremely concerned about him falling out and having something major accident. I don't want to have to baby proof his room if I don't have to either. HELP!

Yikes!! Can't say I'm there yet, thank goodness - although I know it won't be long. We keep Zack penned in the living room by lying the dining room table bench on its side, and he's trying like anything to climb it. The other day he managed to get himself over the top, but scared himself as he teetered back and forth in space unable to touch the ground with either toes or fingers. It was actually quite humorous, although of course we didn't let on. He hasn't tried it again since, but he will - and next time he'll succeed, I know it. He's growing SO fast! Hope you're well - hugs 'n love to you & Drew!!

I feel your pain, my niece was actually the same way, they tried everything, but actually ended up putting her in a low to the ground toddler bed, and baby proofing the room, they couldnt stop her from crawling out of her crib, so moving to a toddler bed she could easily get in and out of was the only solution to prevent her from getting hurt......and get this they did that then she wouldn't get out of the bed LOL she would yell for them every morning when she woke up!!!
