| 13-12-2009 - 27 Weeks Today | My mood while writing this blog:Happy |
Well today is 27 weeks - I have 92 days left until my official due date. I'm wondering when he will really arrive. Early? Late?
I have really started to notice an increase in his movements. The first time my belly actually moved on the outside was Mon. Nov 15th, beginning of week 23. I was having my appendicitis attack (unknown to me) so I took a shower lying down to help relieve my cramps and upset stomach, and he was kicking making the pool of water in my belly button jiggle!
Then, during the week after my surgery, (still 23) my belly literally POP out, my belly button shrunk, and I could FEEL his little kicks and taps so strong they made me jump. DH and my parents could now feel him all the time. We could also SEE my belly starting to jiggle when he used some force.
Week 24 was slow recovery week, with lots of sleepless nights and pain. I went for a big walk outside with DH and we took photos of me and the dog, with my newly bloomed belly.
Week 25 passed quickly and I returned home with DH from my parents house. We got stuff unpacked, but I still take things really easy. Got the new house set up though and mom and dad came for a visit to help get things ready for winter - putting boats and canoes away. We went to an Xmas party on the 7th - was really fun to get dressed up - first time alot of people from work saw me since presurgery and pre bump blossoming.
Week 26 we got lots of snow. It started on Dec 5th, and my car got stuck in the drive way - not even a tow truck would come to help us - too much to do everywhere else! So our neighbours shovelled down to the pavement and helped push it up the driveway and onto the road. It snowed everyday since, getting 10cm on average until this past Thurs/Friday with over 90cm!!! Car is burried now, thank goodness DH has snowmobile to get to corner store and around - or we'd be stuck! It was up to his neck just clearing our steps and a small walk way down driveway. Thankgoodness this baby is in here till March!
I started a body trace on my wall - I will trace my belly every week from now on to see how much bigger I get. I also started making my own webpage at night - making a registry, photos etc... just for fun.
So now today is the beginning of week 27. I still don't have a name, or anything for baby but a crib and change table. I feel overwhelmed by things I should buy, things I need, or things to ask for..... I feel FAT too.
I know Im pregnant, but I see these photos of normal ladies with a melon bump, and wonder why my arms, face, legs, fingers have all expanded too? Where is my slender body with my beach ball stomach?
I went snowshoeing yesterday to try to get some excerise - but my entire side started hurting where I had my surgery - so I still need to take it easy and not do too much. So today Hubby is outside shoveling more snow with his employees and Im cleaning and doing laundry. I seem to enjoying doing this kind of stuff more and more....must be the pregnancy?
Anyway, I just wanted to jot down some notes...oh and my weight was 197 yesterday. Agh.
