19-6-2009 - Is labor around the corner?

My mood while writing this blog: weird

Ok I am not sure about this but I had a very tiny speck of blood in my underwear this morning, I have had alot of back pain(lower), I think that I have dropped, (this one is tmi) I have been going poop alot and I think I might be having some contractions(very light ones). I am 34 weeks along and want her to stay put until the 8th of July. I have a doctor's appointment on Wednesday so I am trying to hold out on going to the hospital.

I'm guessing you're not going into labor any time soon. I had some blood from kiddo dropping, around the same time, but it was due to the increased stress on the cervix. You are also probably having BH contractions. Some mamas feel them, some don't. I couldn't feel them. But I was in at my OB and told her I wasn't having them. She lifted my shirt up, had me put my hands on my tum and sure enough, I was having them! Make sure to keep hydrated, as BH can become more intense (timing and pressure) if you're dehydrated!

Well the lower back pain is yes a sign the baby is moving down and getting in position, and the pooping.. lol.. I have been doing it since about 35 weeks myself and the doctor told me that, when your body is getting ready fro labor it will release hormones in your body and yes they help you poop and clean yourself our BEFORE you push.. thank god.. But as far as the contractions.. watch for the,m.. If you start getting contractions of like menstural cramps its time to go to the hospital.. As far as the blood.. did you have sex the night before or right before? I know that sometimes will cause this.. But a "bloddy show" is also a sign of labor so watch out for that..... Any pain go to the hospital =, any more bleeding, go as well... You dont want the baby to come at 34 weeks.. needs to cook alittle longer.. try to make it as close to 37 as you can.. Put your feet up... No cooking, no dishes, nothing but feet up and rest... No nookie until you go to the doctors either... lol .. keep me posted Jen

all the best 34 wks is not ideal but I would have given my front teeth to get there - thinking of you
