23-7-2009 - 39 week appoinment and induction date

My mood while writing this blog: happy and sad

Well I had my midwife appointment yesterday. First I had my u/s at 9am that went good except the head was so low it was hard to get a good measurement so it was measuring at 35weeks. Thats a little scary but they did not seem concerned. So her final estimated weight was 8lbs 2 oz. Well I went up to the midwife appointment after and waited about 1 1/2 hours till the midwife actually came in to see me. She did the heartbeat and checked my cervix which was only at 1cm and 50% effaced. So they set up my induction to start monday night with cervidil and the pitocin will start tuesday am. So after the appointment (about 4-5 hours) I went to the bathroom and when I wiped I had brown discharge and cramping so I started to freak out but calmed down after a few people said it was normal. Well my bday dinner was at 6:30pm. But I was so tired from the 3 hours I was at the hospital I was miserable to everyone. So my birthday sucked. Well anyways my parents are a little disappointed because they have concert tickets for the 28th and now they have to sell them. Well hopefully I can get some much needed rest in the next 4 days so I am ready to go. I can not wait until she is here and I hope that everything goes smoothly.

Wow, you are so close now hon. I am glad there was no problem with the discharge and cramping you experienced. And your parents will get over the fact that you can't go to the concert once they see your daughter! We're thinking of you and can't wait to hear the great news!! xoxo

good luck i know you will do awesome! and i am praying that the baby is maybe a little bit smaller than that for your sake :)
