My mood while writing this blog: very happy |
Hi ladies, it's hard to believe I will be 7 weeks tomorrow.
I had a great visit with my doctor last night. I got to see the one I really like that was with me through the last M/C and D&C.
At first, he wasn't going to do an U/S since I had one only 6 days ago, but when I told him I was concerned about the fibroid and wanted DH to see the baby, he said "Hey, why don't we do an ultrasound tonight?" LOVE this guy. Little bean was perfect, measured exactly to my due date, and we got to see and HEAR the heartbeat this time. So exciting!
I do have a 1.7 cm fibroid, and the doctor is not worried about it right now and said I shouldn't worry. He said he's seen women with fibroids as big as a baby deliver safely. He made a face when I told him what the other doctor said about risk and bleeding that scared me.
He was concerned with my history and he said it's somewhat rare to M/C when the baby is larger like that just out of the blue. He started me on a baby aspirin every day. And he's running a thrombo-something panel in addition to a full OB panel to check hormones and who knows what else, they took like 15-20 vials of blood. He was impressed that I knew what they were testing was called MTHFR. I told him my girls on the 'net were awesome information sources.
I go back in 2 weeks for another appt and scan. In the meantime, no more freaking out. I finally feel like we are doing something to try and make this outcome better than last time. And I will enjoy the good days where my BBs don't feel like they are going to fall off and I don't feel sick, instead of thinking it's the end. I forgot to ask about feeling cold all the time. Guess I will take the suggestion to write down my questions next time.
Baby dust to all my TTCers. :)

Monday, 1 Mar ok so just FYI next time they do blood work on you tell them that multi test can be ran off one tube like 6 test on the red top and a lot of other things and that you dont want them to take that much blood. =( It always makes me dizzy and light headed. (I work in a lab) other then that sounds like you have a great doc and I know that everything is going to be great! smmiracle822 -

Friday, 26 Feb I am so glad that everything is going well! I was sick after every meal with Jack but they say morning sickness is a good sign that hormone levels are going up so being sick is a good thing. I never minded it! At least the Dr. is doing things to put your mind at ease and keep you from stressing out. Once you've had a m/c it can be hard but you are going to have a healthy little baby! I am so happy for you! It is finally your time! Enjoy! firstmommy08 -
