09-1-2010 - Bonding with Bump

Hi All

Dont laugh......:) does/has anyone read to their bump before? i read in a few mags thats its great to do from about 20 weeks and will help ur lil one when born to relax to those same stories etc or just the general reading/story tone of your voice.

However, i feel so stupid when i do this. i start out loud and then trail off to reading in my head. like its a stupid thing to do. I feel bad then for not being able to bond with my bump more. i do talk to tictac often, say good morning and goodnight and hi with a tummy rub everytime i get a kick or flip and massgae oil in everynight hoping it can feel me. and i let it know when i am eating goodies :) so why is this so hard? or feel so daft?

As a general update: i am feeling good. weigh 10 st 1 lb now so i have put 9 lb on so far (hope thats normal!). also getting puffy face and feet lol but all is good. Tictac is active pretty much most of the day and goes quiet around early evening until later on so def seeing some patterns now. ppl are surprised at work they can feel it kick this early on ans see it, so thinking tictac is gona be a dancer...or cage fighter haha defo got my appetite back!

Bought a car today also. very 'mum' like. a far cry from my 2 seater BMW that i had!!! but all worth it. i just cant wait to meet him/her. Crib/pram etc is all bought and now just have to stock up on nappies etc. its so hard to buy clothes when you dont know what the sex is !!!
