21-1-2010 - update

My mood while writing this blog: full (just had fish and chips!)

Hi All

Not getting to speak in forums as much as i would like lately so just thought i wold drop an update.

Had 24 week appt with midwife today. she was happy with everything and i measure exactly 24 cm which is spot on so things are growing nicely. Had a bit of protein in my wee (not sure what that means) but she didnt seem too worried. heard heart beat again and it never gets boring to listen too :) makes me melt everytime i hear it! also got my £190 cheque for wellbeing in pregnanacy. Not that i am complaining because it will come in handy but does the UK just dish out random grants for the fun of it? wonder if will bring in a spa weekend grant for mommies to be ;)

Was supposed to start pregnancy yoga tonight but couldnt bloody find the place! was so deflated!./...i stopped at chip shop on way home and bought fish and chips:) yummy. Tictac likes them coz he/she is giving me a right good old kick as we speak. its so weird to look down while i type and see big lumps popping up everywhere! it freaks my dogs out too. they know somethings in there coz they get kicked in head while i'm giving them a cuddle at night haha i keep getting a big hard lump to the right every now and then and midwife says its probably its bum or arched back! she says my placenta is on my back so my baby will be all front action. wow......at 24 weeks i can see and feel so much...whats it gona be like for the next 16!

People suddenly think i am public property and i get at least one belly rub a day now! grrrr why would you touch a stranger lol

we still havent found out the sex :) got another growth scan on 17 feb (28 week) so hope we can contain ourselves. its so hard to buy things but the clothes we do have are so cute. so tiny. we havent really been hammering the name subject. although we do agree that we like owen, or finlay for a boy (jordan reallys likes finn) and Isla for a girl. thats kinda all we can come up with!

anyway, all in all things are going good. still getting emotional highs and lows but i know that comes with the terriotory. just 13 working weeks left at work (yee haa)!
