18-10-2008 - Puke & Poop!

My mood while writing this blog: better now...

I was so excited to go out to dinner with the family tonight. We were taking my FIL with us and going to a steak house over by his place. He doesn't live in the best location but we figured we wouldn't have to wait long to eat.

My daughter had been at a slumber party and stayed up until 3am. I thought she was just tired, even tho she said she wasn't feeling well and felt cold. She didn't seem to have a fever so we went.

For whatever reason, I get car sick when DH drives so I've been driving lately. But he decided to drive. So I already started out the night feeling queezy. Then we get the the restaurant and as soon as I walk in the door I can smell the smoke from the bar. Makes we want to puke... Luckily we didn't have to wait to be seated. I look at the menu and wanted to get a steak...DH talks me into the bourban one.. I feel like I should eat healthy and decide for the baked sweet potato & steamed broccoli instead of fries and creamy soup. My daughter said she didn't care what she had b/c she wasn't that hungry. So we ordered chicken strips and fries for the kids to share. My son is hit and miss on eating so they share meals often.

Then my daughter says she needs to puke... Off we run to the bathroom. We found and open stall and we hung out there for a minute. She says maybe she just needs to burp and lets a deep one rip! We were both giggling. So while in the stall I pee b/c that's what us pregnant women do. Lexi thought she was feeling OK and then said no... I had her sit down and try to go just in case she had gas that needed to come out of the other end. So as she's sitting there, a woman goes in the stall next to us and starts duecin'! OMG, it was liquid sh!t and it smelled horrible! I started gagging... Lexi was still on the stool.. HURRY UP! As soon as she was done I was out of the stall washing my hands and dry retching. I ran into the hallway to wait for Lexi. We laughed about it as we walked back to the table.

We sat down for a few more minutes and then Lexi says she needs to go back to the bathroom. I let her go by herself this time b/c she's 11. A few minutes go by and she hasn't come back so I go check on her. I walk in and it's instang gag again! She's sitting in a stall and says she's OK. I wait in there with my hand over my nose and mouth, trying not to breath. Every woman that came in there looked at me crazy. And I swear, every single one of them came in there to sh!t! Finally she comes out and we go back to the table.

A few minutes later Lexi gets this look on her face... I tell her let's go outside this time. She gets up from the table and runs. I was a few seconds behind her b/c I had to grab a bunch of napkins just in case... As I push open the door she's already puked just to the left of the front entrace. Yikes... I tried to wipe her face without looking but then she turns to me and has puke on her hand. That gets me going again! I can't handle puke. So I start dry heaving again... We then had to go back to the rest room to wash her hands and face. I opened the rest room door and was hit by a wall of warm funk! Instant dry heave again!!! I stood in the door way with the extra napkins over my face while Lexi washed up. Then we went back to the table, got the keys and went and sat in the car to wait for DH to finish his beer and meal.

I've never had so many things at one time make me want to throw up!!! Poor Lexi had her head hanging out of the car window puking along the highway on the way home. =( She's in bed now. I gave her some stuff that will hopefully settle her stomach and put a bucket by her bed. I hope that she'll be OK b/c I really can't clean up puke!
