It sucks, but he's right. Kids can be cruel, but they could destroy just about any name. Go with what you like. I like both of your choices.

My maiden name is Asselin. It was horible growing up. Many times it was mis pronounced as Azlynn and you can guess the many other ways. For me I don't care for it because it reminds me of some rotten kids. The other name would be the one I would pick but if I didn't know you having a girl I might not know by the name. I love the thought of a real unique name so I guess it would have to out weigh the negatives for you.

I met this guy who (thankfully) i will more than likely never see again (friends MIL's friends bf) lol. And When I told him I was naming my boy Kaleb he was like "do you want your kid to make it out of preschool?!?" I was like "it's not an uncommon name at all he probably won't be the only one around his age here with that name" and he just kept telling me to think it over. People be so mean. In a few years (5 or more) when I decide to have another baby, I'm keeping the name to myself. My dad insulted it because he "never heard it before" but then after he saw it on CSI, House, and a whole bunch of other shows, and now he likes the name.
Hopefully you two can think of something soon. If i was having a girl I'd be naming her Mila, middle still unknown due to i found out i was having a boy very early.

Bezzi what about the name Azarialynn Hope? Just a thought. I like the names you have chosen personally. Hope you have a Happy Holiday. Good luck maybe youll get more feed back at all the holiday gatherings.

We still haven't decided on a name but we had two in mind... Azlynn and Zariya.
Last night, DH was out with his Dad celebrating his brother getting engaged. They got on the topic of names. DH told his Dad the two names we were tossing around. My FIL said, "You can't call her Azlynn. The first thing kids are going to call is is @sslick!"
OMG, how to destroy a name in one statement! ?!?!?!?
I'm thinking I've lost the battle...
