I hope this is common knowledge but if not, read on. You could save your little one from unnecessary burns...

Is you water too hot?

It's a risk seldom thought about, but by simply turning your water heater temperature down you may prevent a serious injury. In fact, about 3,800 injuries and 34 deaths occur in the home due to scaling from excessivley hot tap water each year.* The Home Safety Council (R) recommends that you:

• Set your water hater to 120 degrees Fahrenheit or just below the medium setting.
• Test the water before you or your children get in the shower or tub.
• always take extra care if bathing baby in the kitchen sink. the metal sink can often get much hotter than the water in it and can badly burn baby's skin.
