17-1-2009 - In the hospital

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Thought I'd update. Got wireless - fantastic - and we're waiting for something great to happen.

DH is bored and wanting to find something to do. Only so much ESPN or internet surfing.

Last time things went a lot quicker. Maybe b/c I was a few days closer to my due date?? I was 1cm dilated and it was hard for the one nurse to check. My pelvis is tilted so it makes it even harder to 'reach'. A different nurse had to come in and check b/c she had longer fingers! LOL.

When I called yesterday the nurse at the OBGYN said not to eat or drink anything. This morning they told me that I could have eaten a light breakfast. I'm starving! The only thing I can eat is jello. MMMM

Contractions are 3-7 mins apart. Not painful. Just like bad period cramps.

I took the cytotec pill around 7:30 am so they'll check me at 11:30. They're hoping for 3cm then they can break my water. If it's anything like last time then things will go quickly.

I took 3 stool softeners last night hoping not to deal with pooping during labor. I was snuggling with DH this morning telling him about it. He said "why? You did it last time." WTH??? I did? OMG how embarrassing! When??? He said when I was pushing. Understandable. You couldn't feel anything. OH MY!!! So I told him if I did it this time, not to tell me again. I couldnt' deal with it!!!

This bed is really uncomfortable. I think maybe I shold take a nap. I couldn't sleep at all last night!
