Got a call from the midwife at the hospital a couple of days ago to advise me that there is a problem with my bloods.. they say my blood type is showing as O positive.

The problem with this is that my last bloods say i am O negative, and last week i was given the anti-D injection!

They have advised me that there is no harm to me or bubs from having it - however, I particulary did NOT want the anti-D as i do not want someone elses blood plasma in my body - the only reason i went ahead with it was because the midwife really talked me into it and explained how important it is for my health and the babys health.. If i am now positive and didnt really need the injection, i just feel so annoyed.

Anyway, so i have to have more blood tests next week to find out what my blood type really is.. makes me wonder, am i really iron deficient then (like my results said last week) or was that someone else blood sample..??

Has this ever happened to anyone else..??

Oh my goodness, that sucks. I wonder how often results get messed up. I had a friend who just glanced through her blood test when she was pregnant and something caught her eye. She called her doctor who made her get another test because the first one said she practically had kidney failure!!! Luckily, the second results came back fine.

Hun don't panic, i know its hard but have a little faith and one way or another this week you will find out exactly whats going on, then you can reassess the situation and find out wat is going to happen. Take care xx
