08-6-2009 - Woo Hoo!

My mood while writing this blog: Excited!!!!!

Well... I had my ultrasound done today. The tech said the baby was measuring 5w 5d, not 6w 2d like I thought. I told her that I ovulated on my 17 or 18 day of my cycle so it all made sense. I'm due February 2nd, 2010, unless my doctor changes it.

I was so happy to see the little bean and the yolk sack. The tech saw the heartbeat. I had no idea what she was looking at, but I trusted her expertise. Then she said, "we could probably hear it too," and we did. What a sweet sound! =)

I started thinking about my hcg levels from Thursday. Wow! 24,606 when the baby is 5w 1d. I guess this baby is going to hang on. I asked the tech if saw any other sacs (I was wondering if twins were in my future since my numbers were so high). She didn't see anything, but will probably check again next time I'm there.

I'm still taking this one day at a time. Things are looking very positive! =)
