28-1-2010 - Going to the hospital TONIGHT!

My mood while writing this blog: So excited!

After my last OB appointment yesterday the doctor scheduled me to go to the hospital tonight at 6 PM. They will start me on cervidil and tomorrow morning they will start me on pitocin. I really didn't want to be induced, but my OB doesn't want me to go past my due date (which is the 30th and it's a full moon). I pray the cervidil will do it's job so I can have my baby without too much fuss.

When the OB checked me he said my cervix is finally softening. It is facing the wrong way still, but he could feel the baby's head on the other side. All very good signs. That is probably why I feel the baby's hiccups between my legs.

I am very emotional today. My Mom is driving up from Florida right now to be with us during labor and she is going to stay for 9 days! I am so happy!

My husband and I have been preparing for this day for 9 months. Everything is ready for baby. Today I don't have anything to do. I am doing some laundry, but I'm resting a lot. I am so grateful we planned ahead so we could enjoy and relax during our last few days as a couple.

Tomorrow we will be holding our son in our arms. Woo Hoo! Thank you for all your support. I will post my birth story to let you all know how everything goes. =)
