16-4-2008 - 27 week update

My mood while writing this blog: Tired

27 weeks, 2 days weight 159 pounds

My appetite had slowed down compared what it was like a few weeks ago, It seemed like I just couldn't geto full before, maybe baby was having a growth spurt. I think boredom was also getting the best of me. Last week was spring break so I was busy running kids around to keep them occupied, it was nice to have them around but at the end of the week I was ready for them to be back at school. I am thankful I will be delivering during the summer so I will have a couple of weeks to be sleep deprived on my own before I have to also get up with kids and get them off to school in the morning.

Within the last 2 weeks I have gotten 2 compliments one from my son's bus driver and one from my husbands bosses wife. They tell me I am carrying the weight well and look like all baby. With my last pregnancy I gained 48 pounds. I went from 114 to 162. I kept weighing myself in the hospital and after having an 8 lb 4 oz baby, I had only lost about 10 pounds! I was underweight to start with then but I had an asshole of a husband that would look at me while I was pregnant and say, "man you are fat" so I would find myself hiding to eat. I lost all the weight I gained but when I hit about 31 I started gaining weight. This time around I was at 145 when I concieved. I am 5'8" and hoping to one day see the scale say 135lbs!

My mom bought the baby a car seat last weekend and I installed it in my car yesterday. My husband thinks it is too early to have the carseat installed but then again he thinks the baby will come on his due date, haha. The next few weeks should pass by pretty quickly as I will be busy buying and putting together baby furniture. I won't have a baby shower so I might as well try to get things put together while I can still maneuver around. I found some used nursery furniture on craigslist, but hubby will have to pick it up, bring it home and carry it upstairs as I still can't lift anything heavy.

I think some nesting has kicked in, 2 days ago I found myself cleaning the carpets in our house, something I would normally leave for my husband. I will update after my next midwife appt on Monday.
