Well my dr appt was very interesting yesterday. It was set for 2pm with my fave dr. I get there at 1:45 and ten minutes later the receptionist tells me my dr can't make it til later on...that they had sent four ladies to the l&d room. One girl had her water break in the delivery room. Instantly thoughts ran thru my head...i can be #5:) that would be awesome lol.
Well then they tell me my dr won't be in at all. I start getting pissed cuz I am getting induced tuesday. They want me to come back monday..i tell them hell no i'm sitting here until you get a dr to see me lol. An hour later I am seen by a dr...not my fave:( He tells me I am 1/2 cm to 1 cm dialated. never did tell me the effacement or station. So I assume nothing has changed Or i assume he is a male and doesn't care lol.
Well I ask him does that mean monday night I'll be in the hospital? and he says yes, i will be in there at 9pm or 9:30pm to get the medicine applied to my cervix to help me dialate. He asks me why i'm getting induced, i tell him my fave dr suggested it becuz she is going on vacation on my original due date. He says that they don't like to induce for non-medical reasons. I tell him I still want it done. He then pops off "if you were my wife...." "i wouldn't let you do this...." i thought to myself : I'm not your wife...thank god...then i tell him "i still want to have it done it's only 3 days early"
Lol, male drs. They don't seem to understand that we almost have carried our babies for ten months by the 40 week mark. I'd be one the lucky ones to have a 41 or 42 weeker. Hell with that. My lil girl is healthy...she can come out early.
So Monday night and Tuesday morning are the big day :):) can't wait
