29-5-2009 - Baby Watch, it\'s official

Well, I went into to see my OB yesterday. I have dropped and the baby is engaged. Since I've never gone into labor naturally I had a lecture about watching for premature labor, bleeding, contractions, water leakage.

Since my OB doesn't think I'll make it to preadmittance on June 17th (a week before my section btw) I had to hand in my insurance forms to prepare.

Ideally, since I'm only 34 weeks and 6 days, I would like him to stay in until the second week of June. It would be better for his lungs. I guess you can't stop him if he wants to come. My OB said she wouldn't stop him if he tried, but she won't schedule the section earlier because if he's going to come on his own it's better for him to have the contractions squeeze his lungs versus planning a section this early.

I really hope I can keep him in until my planned section June 26th, which puts him at 38 weeks and 6 days. So much better for him.
