| 13-4-2008 - Delivery!! | My mood while writing this blog:Ecstatic |
April 14, 2008
We
arrived at the hospital at 10:30 am and I was not nervous at all. We
checked in and I got suited up and hooked up to everything. The waiting game began.
. . unfortunately they had an emergency and they were running behind so
the anticipation just kept building. They brought in "the get up" for
Brandon to put on so I took advantage of the situation and took
pictures. In good turn he flipped it around on me and took one of me as
the nervousness started to set in.

He kept pretending to be the doctor :)
Im so swollen. Cant you see my nerves?
So in the process of waiting my brother calls me and he has some how managed to get lost
at the hospital. He finally found labor and delivery and I got to see
him, my dad, my step-mom, Brandons dad, mom, and grandma. It helped
some. Unfortunately my mother couldn't be there, Im not gonna lie, I NEEDED HER.
Besides Brandon she understands me more than anyone. My oldest son was
having a situation and they called her to come get him from school so
she couldn't be there ::tears::
At 1:15 pm
The nurse came in and said 5 minutes!! I had to drink this nasty stuff
before I could go back to neutralize the acid in my stomach. I kept
trying to breathe and I noticed Brandon turned every shade of white and grey. He sat down. I thought he was gonna pass out and so did he. She then turned and said that my doctor had the fastest scalpel in Louisville, that he did the fastest C-sections in the city. Which lightened the mood.![]()
At 1:20 pm
I walked to the operating room and they gave me a spinal.(Which
took effect a lot quicker than I thought it would, or I would have
cherished every movement Sean made those last couple minutes :( ) I was numb and they brought Brandon back in.

At 1:32 pm
They made the first cut. I was concentrating on breathing when I looked
up at the ceiling and I realized I could see the reflection of my
surgery in one of those huge lights. I said "OMG Brandon I can see what they are doing?" But I didn't freak out I was in amazement. It was like I was watching a show on tv almost. They told me as long as I stayed calm I could keep watching. This was a blessing.![]()
At 1:36 pm
My doctor told me I had a severe amount of scar tissue and he couldnt even believe how easy I got pregnant with Sean. ( i have had 2 prior lower abdominal surgeries, plus I get rupturing cysts on my ovaries) What he didnt know was that it took a year,
it wasnt easy. He told me more pregnancies may be hard and I really
needed to limit my amount of children. Which was sad even though I
already have been blessed with 2 angels.
At 1:39 pm
They started pushing up towards my ribs and I saw Seans head come out
my incision. (It looked huge in that angled light) I yelled for Brandon
to look. As they pulled him out he started crying and my tears over
powered me. I was crying so hard they kept asking if I was hurting, but I was just happy. I got one quick peak at him and they took him to be cleaned. I remember saying "Oh, he is huge!" (The doctors said he was only supposed to be about 7 pounds)
