20-11-2009 - Oh what an emotional day..

My mood while writing this blog: Ok for now

So last night I started spotting light pink. Let me tell you I am petrified everytime I go to the restroom. So when I wiped and seen the blood, I totally freaked. So I called my husband who was on his way home from work, and he gets home and is totally mortified by what he sees. He immediately breaks down, and says not again. I tired to calm him down, and told him as long it is not bright red and heavy then we are ok. We we're considering going to the ER, but all they ever do here is a ultrasound and tell you to contact your OBGYN. So I finally get him calmed down, and hold my composure, and we decide that I will call the Dr first thing in the morning.

We get up and get our daughter ready for school, and call the OB. He tells me to go ahead and come in and he will work me in. Now keep in mind the bleeding has stopped by morning. So I get there and they call me back, and he says he is going to do a ultrasound. I am so nervous as to what we are going to see. Long story short, the sac had grown and the yolk sac is still forming, so far so good. He tells me it could be from a number of different things, my vaginal progesterone suppostories could cause irritation, it could be a little implantation bleeding, etc. He then told me that we are going to check my beta numbers and progesterone levels, so I am waiting on him to call with my numbers. Fingers crossed all is well.

You and your tiny LO are in my prayers! I spotted at least once a week for the first 21 weeks or so with my LO, so I know how scary that is (especially given your history) ~ praise God, my LO just turned one, so spotting IS okay sometimes!! Good luck!
