10-6-2009 - Update on Bailey

My mood while writing this blog: on cloud 9

I just wanted to let everyone know that Bailey is doing well. She now weighes 2 pounds 10 ounces. She is on nasal canula with very minimal oxygen settings. Her biliruben is up so she has a bili-blanket.....she is eating 5 cc per 3 hours and doing well with that. I finally got to hold her today and it was wonderful! She can come in if she meets all the requirements at her gestational age of 34-35 weeks....we will see if that will happen...I hope so! : D She is also in clothes now! Things are doing great. Jackson loves to to touch her piggies (her feet)! I hope he can hold her tomorrow!

Update as of June 11:

Bailey is off all oxygen requirements. She is also increasing her feeds one cc every other feeding. She is up to 9 ccs every three hours now...she will max out at 21 ccs every 3 hours....she is not happy about being hungry cause she gets that way about 30 minutes before her feeding times. They have also turned down her bed settings on temp. In order to be in an open bed she must have her bes on 28.0 degrees celcius and she is on 29.5 right now. Jackson got to hold her today which he was okay with for 2 seconds but still! They also gave her a bottle last night at 11 and she took all her milk and didnt have any problems.
