15-6-2009 - Update on the family

My mood while writing this blog: good

I was just wanting to let you guys know that Bailey is doing wonderful! She is up to 2 pounds 10 ounces. She is off oxygen and doing great. She has maxed on her feedings for now at 21 ccs. She can take almost a whole feeding by bottle. Meaning her suck, swallow, breathe is working great! She just has to get bigger to be able to have the energy to continue to do it for whole feedings and for every feeding. She is doing good with her temperature. She is still in the incubator but they have it setting on 29.0 degrees to be out of it it needs to be on 28.0 and she has to stay warm on that before getting out of the bed. She loves to be wrapped up and cuddled!!

congratulations on the arrival of your baby girl! i am so glad to hear she is doing well. its a rough road in the NICU but bringing them home for the first time makes it all worthwhile. if you need to talk please let me know!
