22-9-2009 - Update on Bailey and Jackson

My mood while writing this blog: happy

Well Bailey is almost 4 months old now!! I can't believe it! She weighs 8 pounds 14.2 ounces.Bailey is now on medications for reflux and still on poly-vi-sol. Her developmental scores are great!! She was scoring 3 months in some areas (which is her actual age) and only behind in one area for her gestational age (which was 29 days when they tested her) so she is doing wonderfully developmentally!!!

I am still pumping though not as often. Most days I can keep up with her but the days I am super busy we bring out the frozen milk. We now are on our July supply with frozen milk so I think we are doing okay. We may make it to six months of her getting fortified breastmilk before we have to switch to straight formula. I plan on to stop pumping when we run out of frozen because by that time I don't think I will be able to keep up with her. She also breastfeeds some now. The latch hurts so bad (I am guessing because of flat nipples but she wont latch into a nipple sheild) but after she gets on and gets going its not as bad. She can only feed from one side right now because the other side is severely cracked/cut open and even pumping hurts. But we are doing good.

We have had a rough couple of months!! I first got chicken pox, then Jackson, then Bailey! Now we all are fully recovered! Jackson has casts on both legs from botox injection and we are hoping they did wonders when we take his casts off because his leg muscles were so tight!

All in all everyone is well.....I am a bit concerned. I dont know how having your tubes tied works but I finally got a period last month that was normal and fine but I am a week late now. I dunno if this is a cause for conern but I am. We are gearing up for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Jacksons 4th bday (I am in shock), and Bailey's first birthday. (I like to plan ahead!)
