21-4-2009 - Stretch Marks!

My mood while writing this blog:
sad..

ok, so first of all I want to say that I feel like such a baby. I have been doing so well with preventing stretch marks. I have had a few on each side for a while now, but have already accepted that and thougt it really isnt a big deal. Today on the other hand, I got home from work and immediately striped down to put on my sweats and BAM! I now have some on the front of my stomache. I feel like crying. Im 36 weeks today, and I know it could be alot worse. I guess I was just really hoping that it wouldnt happen, I mean, I have come this far! When I took a shower this morning before work and lotioned up after, there wasnt even a hint of them. It seriously had to have happend all during my work day. :(

I guess for me, the worst part is that I was divorced for like a week when I found out I was pregnant, only 21 years old, and now I feel like who is ever gonna want me now!? I know, that is so vein to be talking that way, but hormones are involved also. If anyone has good advise as to how to keep them at a minimum PLZ let me know. Thanks for letting me vent a lil. Hope you all have a better week than mine has started out to be. :/

Just wanted to say thanks to all you ladies who have responded to my blog. I'm really having a much better day and I konw that if a guy cared about me having marks from my baby then he isnt a guy I would want to be with. I guess I was just feelin down yesterday. Thank you all for your support, you really did help me to feel better about it all! I love you girls <3

you are so cute.. I don't know how to not get them... but i have heard you can fade them once you have them.. and spray tan.. self tanners help hide them.. and the part about guys not wanting you.. that's crazy talk! :) I was single w/2 kids.. and dated.. I learned a tip a long time ago... don't point out your flaws.. because a guy wont notice them until you do... you'll be fine..

You know i had such a struggle with that feeling after my sons father and i broke up. i gained 70 pounds with my pregnancy and only lost 30 of it so i was over weight and felt like crap but i found someone who loves me regardless. a stretchmark isn't going to be a deciding factor. You are a beautiful woman and i am sure there are plenty of men out there that will think that even if you have a stretchmark or two.

i lubed myself in coco butter 2 times a day. and i found my first strechmark at 28wks-small but it was there! then when i had my son at 34wks-hot damn they were ever where! so i guess some people are meant to get them. sry hun! but they will go away!
