13-5-2009 - 39 week appointment

My mood while writing this blog:
annoyed.

I had my check up yesterday. Everything looks good still. BP was good, urine came back clear, baby's HR was great still wiggling around like crazy in there. Over all things seem to be great. :D

The part that annoys me: Last week as you all may have read, they double booked appointments so they just cancelled mine like it was no big deal. Yesterday as she was measuring my belly, she said "well, I can def. tell that you have dropped" She had to place the tape lower than normal to get the right reading, probably about 2" lower. Then she listend to the heart rate and said "everything sounds wonderful, we will go ahead and schedule your next apt for one week." I was thinking WHAT?! are you seriously not checking me again. That makes my next appointment on MY DUE DATE! I even asked her about striping my membranes and she told me that if nothing has changed next week, they will do it then. UGH!

I know that I should just be greatful that things are looking good, but seriously 2 weeks in a row of not even checking me? Its just irritating. Everyone else that I talk to gets theirs stripped a week or two prior to their due dates... why do I have to wait until mine! SO i guess it will just be the unknown, waiting game... hopefully somthing will start this week or weekend. I just keep pleading with her to come out. haha.

Sorry its so long, but I needed to vent a lil. I hope all you other mommies are having a great week. Lots of Labor Dust to you all and Baby Dust for those TTC!

the same thing happend to me with my first boy , i went two weeks late and when those two weeks passed they never even checked to see if i was dialated at all . I told my mom and she was upset, and called my doctor , they told her that when hes ready to come out, he will but they didint want to interfear with anything. I think doctors dont like to check to see if you are dialated because they could accdently dialate you themselfs , im shure they know what they are doing , but i would probably be pissed off to .

wow that is messed up, they did not strip my membranes though he just said ok time to come. but I hope you go in to labor soon oh and that yours does not last 29 hours total that sucked and hurt. but I have to go I have a new little boy to tend to hope yours comes soon.

my situation is the same i was 38 weeks check up and then she told me to come back after 2 weeks cause everything looks good and my next app. is one day after my due date next monday.and here in New Zealand they donot check down until labor or for other med.reason so no idea what happening down.
