10-1-2010 - New Year = Changes

Emma Grace is doing so well. I love watching her grow and gain new skills each day. Yesterday morning she got her first tooth (bottom front left) She can officially crawl now, though she looks silly while doing it. She uses her hands and feet rather than knees! She can pull herself up on just about anything and has begun to stand for moments unsupported. She can transition from holding the coffee table to the couch with a couple of unassisted steps. She is determined to walk! She loves to do paddy cake with her feet and might be the most vocal baby I have ever known. :)

2009 was full of challenges and hardships. I got divorced. I found out I was pregnant while on BC, and was not even in a relationship with the father. Durring my pregnancy I learned that Emma would have a half brother who is only 4 months older than she. I accepted the role of single parent, and went through my entire pregnancy with no help or support from "him". After Emma arrived I agreed to stay with "him" for a while so his family could meet Miss Emma. We ended up moving in. After 5 months of trying to make it work and dealing with his alcohol abuse, for our saftey we moved out. Needless to say, Emma is only just going to be 8 months old and has moved 5 times in her short life. It was a rough year for sure and I am hoping that the New Year will bring some positive changes for us.
