| 01-11-2009 - C-Section | My mood while writing this blog:Ok |
So the time has finally come for little Emma and Ellie to be born. I had an appointment with the specialist on Thursday and there may be a small weight difference between the two now. Ellie was laying really funny and they could not measure the widest part of her head so it was throwing off the measurements for her weight. Little Emma is 6lbs 1oz and they had Ellie at 4lbs 10oz but they said that is definitely not right. During the ultrasound Emma was breathing and was throwing the nurse off while trying to get the blood flow for her it was hilarious and amazing to see her breathing in and out... i loved it and she has her sucking down too.... she was laying there sucking away at her index finger. Then on Friday, I went to my regular doctor who said that they would just keep an eye on her and make sure that she is still thriving (which she is, blood flow is wonderful! and her heartbeat is extremely strong) But to make sure that Ellie catches up with her sister and to make sure that Emma doesnt get too big, my c-section will be scheduled for either November 16, 17, or 18. i will find out for sure on Thursday this week. I am so excited and thought that this day would never come or that it was going to come way too soon. I thank God that he has let me keep them in there until they are ready to come out. They will be 3 1/2 weeks early but the doctor says that the way that they are thriving and growing and maturing that the chances of a NICU stay are very slim to none. I am so excited and thankful that my little girls will be here soon. Right before thanksgiving.... oh the holidays will be fun :)
