26-1-2009 - 31 Weeks

My mood while writing this blog: Exhausted

Had to go to my appt this morning. I can't believe that it has been 31 weeks already! Well I had to tell my doctor about some nasty contractions I was having last week. I had contractions 5 minutes apart for almost 3 hours and they lasted from 60-90 seconds each. Wholly shit did tey hurt, I almost cried once. My poor hubby was scared out of his mind becuase we were out of town (4 hours from home) and he thought I was having him that night!! I just had to lay down and walk around and try to stay calm but I will admit, after the firsthour went by and they were still comming on strong, I was a bit nervous that I might have to find a hospital and see what they said!

Anyhow, he is not too concerned, I am instructed to not go over 1 hour away from home now and to stay off my feet as much as possible if I start having them again. He is going to check my cervix at my next appt to make sure I am not dialating or anything like that yet. With my first son I was dialated to a 1 and 50% effaced at my 35 week check up so who knows what will happen with #2. I might have to get my butt moving on the baby things because I have been putting it off and one of these days he will want to make his appearance and I need to be ready!
