08-5-2008 - 39 weeks, 5 days // 8th May

My mood while writing this blog: Slightly In Pain

So, I believe this will be my last blog entry before bubs is born. Tomorrow is my last day of being pregnant before my due date on Saturday.

The last two days I have had terrible pain in my pubic bone and still with the sciatic pain too. I went up to the hospital yesterday morning because I thought that my waters may have broken, but they hadn't, and baby is four-fifths above the brim (only just beginning to engage) and I am one and half centimetres dilated. Bubs is very comfortable in the posterior position, but head down at least. It really hurts when I get up to walk around. I really hope that baby comes in the next few days.

It's still hard for me to believe that bubs is due already. The last ten weeks have just gone by so quickly, it's incredible! I think that Michael wants to go for a walk this afternoon, and I've been for a walk the day before yesterday too, so this should be encouraging bubs to get a move on and engage and bring on the labor!

I've been cleaning like crazy the past few days and I still have a small mountain of washing to do. But the rest of the house is looking pretty spiffy. I just don't want heaps of housework waiting for me when I come from hospital after having bubbie. Coz doing housework will be the last thing that I will be wanting to do!

I'm feeling a fair bit of pressure 'down there', so I suspect that baby is wriggling on down slowly. Once again, hopefully the next time I enter a blog entry, it will be about the birth of Michaels and my little miracle. Til then...
