03-5-2009 - 3D/4D Ultrasound

My mood while writing this blog:
Ok

I called to make an appointment for my 3D ultrasound. At first I was going to skip it all together but then I thought how I might regret it since this is my first child. I was also told 27-29 weeks was the perfect time to get it done so I figured what the heck.
I was a little disappointed when the person making the appointment for me stressed that how clear my pictures come out would be based on how much water I've been drinking throughout my pregnancy. Uhh!! Are you serious. I drink water now b/c I have too but it's such a chore. I know I haven't drank half as much as I probably should have.
I don't want to waste my money so I've been drinking water from the moment I wake up till the moment I go to bed. They said drinking 8 cups of 8 ounce bottles a day will get me a DECENT pic :(
I hope I prove them wrong! I'll find out Friday the 8th @ 8:30pm..... until then, bottles up!

And again I was told the complete opposite.. They said to come a little hungry rather than full.. uhh!

i wouldnt think that it would have 2 be throughout ur whoolle pregnancy..u will prove them wrong. make sure to eat alot so the baby will be active, oh and OJ/apple juice seems 2 do the trick for me to get my baby moving..GL

Don't worry about drinking enough water hun. =) I made my appt the day before my u/s and I didn't drink any water and they were still able to take clear pix of my son, and tell me he was a boy at 16 weeks so I wouldn't worry. =) Good luck

i recently set up an appoointment for one too and the guy told me to just drink alot of water starting three days before the scan so they can get a clear pic. he seemed like he knew what he was talking about maybe the lady is wrong cause that dont make sense water comes out as fast as u drink it lol

OMG I didnt know this either. I have been terrible at drinking water, I just never feel thirsty! I get mine done on May 21st so I hope they turn out, I didnt know this would have an effect on an ultrasound. I better drink up too!!!!!

Eeek! I didn't know that and my 4D u/s is on Tuesday. I too have not been drinking enough water. *sigh*
