| 04-9-2009 - dr appt | My mood while writing this blog:good |
so off to my bi weekly appt i went today. at the last appt, when i was 31 weeks i was measuring 34 weeks. this week at the 33 week apt i'm measuring 38 weeks....yikes! dr is sending me for an u/s next week or so to check if it's caelum that is so big, or extra fluid or both. i've not been eating anything out of the ordinary although i have to admit my diet is not stellar. i have been sneaking the extra coke here and there b/c i love my coca cola but i guess that can go again....and she wants me to watch my starches. i tested fine for the gestational diabetes so it's not that. the good thing is, at this next u/s they'll give us an approx weight, which they haven't up until this point. at 18 weeks when they did all the measurements, they said they dont' usually say anything about weight and size and at the placental location u/s on aug 10 they said they wouldn't b/c they weren't doing all the measurements....wtf?? anyways this time they will! and dr says if i make it to close to due date they'll do another one. two weeks ago the dr estimated if this keeps up he'd be around 10 lbs, now they're thinking possibly higher. Dr told me i might need to rethink my natural child birth delivery plan if he's going to be 11 +.....you think??? gee i thought i'd give it a go! NOT!! anyways we'll wait and see...could be nothing, just extra fluid, although you'd think i'd be puffier if that was the case! i'll try to upload a belly shot soon for all to see!
My son Connor is recovered from his bout of pneumonia and goes for follow up xrays on the 10th. who gets pneumonia in the summer?? apparently connor! they're (not sure who "they" are) predicting another wave of h1n1 this fall, just in time for kids to go back to school! lovely!!
on a sad note, our kitty Bailey had to be put down on wednesday...ok so he wasn't a "kitty" as in kitten....he was 15, but has been very sick the last month or so, and even though we got him the proper medicines, his spirit just gave out...the last few days he wouldn't eat or drink and literally looked like a bag of bones in an orange cat suit.....poor old man. anyways he's at peace now. The other cats (with him we ha 4 plus two dogs) seem a bit subdued and the dogs definately know he's gone. he was the oldest of all of our pets, but the dogs aren't far behind and it's on our minds that we might go through this again in the not so distant future with them. hope not anytime soon!
hope everyone is fine, hugs to all!
