| 24-9-2009 - 36 weeks | My mood while writing this blog:good, tired |
hello lovely ladies! just thought i'd say hello...week 36 has been good so far, the cough is still hanging on but not as strong as it was before, thank god! Pneumonia is racing around this area as is H1N1 (lovely)....my dr gave me a prescription today for tamiflu, to be filled only if she deems necessary, but at least i have it and she'll decide over phone, if i get more symptoms...right now it's just been the horrifying cough, so can live with that!
had the group b swab today...don't recall them doing that 10 years ago. she also did a quick cervix check...she says her fingers (tmi) weren't quite long enough to determine to what point it might be dilated (if at all) but she says it's definately soft and baby's head is right there...that would explain the whole lot of pelvic pressure i've felt the last few days. So i'm politely requesting lots of labour dust from everyone! my due date is 3.5 weeks away, that's not far and he should be good and cooked by now! i'm getting so paranoid lately, as i get closer that the worst will happen...dont' ask me why, he's fine in there.....it's just this stupid psychic i saw about two years ago that told me she didn't see my with anymore children....after my miscarriage last year i was inclined to believe her.....anyways i shouldn't worry so much, this pregnancy has been fine, with the exception of the bleed at 16 weeks and even then all was well....it's just that it's so close and we have everything ready for him...i just want him in my arms:)
thanks for letting me rant, off to get dinner ready and then off to take Connor to soccer practice! btw, did i tell you all how proud i am of my son? He has raised in excess of $1000 in the last week and a half for the Terry Fox Foundation (cancer research) in support of his friend who has leukemia and he is shaving his head at school next wednesday! i'll post pics when he does. i am so proud of him and his achievement...his goal was originally $500 and he did that in a few days so he upped it and i believe he's at $1100 or so now with a few more days to go! We're all praying his friend pulls through....we have another set of friends whose daughter is battling a brain tumour...she had her "trophy day" at BC Childrens' about a month ago, where kids who have undergone a year of treatment and are finished, get to decorate the doctor anyway they want to! apparantly she dolled him up with a wig, nail poish, makeup etc....how cute...she was to go back today for a follow up scan so we're praying really hard for her...she's just 8 years old....
Hugs to all:)
