in the week since i found out i was 4-5 cm, there has been NO change.....that is quite frustrating! i could understand it better if i was only 1 or 2 cm but i would have thought there'd be progression. i have had 3 membrane sweeps since last fri and so far it's not worked, although i have had a few contractions since it today but i expect they'll die down. i had regular contractions every half hour yesterday but they petered out and were never very strong. had the non stress test and u/s today, baby is good, we even saw a contraction being monitored. dr is baffled as to why it hasn't happened but is not yet ready to break my water....anyhoo, gotta run!

I was 5cm dilated and not in labour. Finally on my 4th membrane sweep, my water broke in the dr's office. Depends on the Dr and how well they do the swipe. Hope things pick up on their own soon. goodluck
